MCP-Discord offers the following Discord-related functionalities:

• Log in to a Discord bot.
• Retrieve server information.
• Read/delete channel messages.
• Send messages to a specified channel.

📋 Prerequisites

• Node.js (v16.0.0 or higher)
• npm (v7.0.0 or higher)
• A Discord bot with appropriate permissions:
  • Bot token (obtainable via the Discord Developer Portal)
  • Required intents: message_content, messages, and guilds
• Familiarity with the command line and programming

📦 Installation

# Install MCP-Discord using npm
npm install mcp-discord

⚙️ Configuration

Configuration via Environment Variables

Create or edit the .env file in the root directory of your project and add the following content:

DISCORD_TOKEN=your_discord_bot_token_here
MCP_ENDPOINT=https://mcp.discord.com

Configuration via Code

Import and initialize MCP-Discord in your main file:

📚 Documentation

✨ Basic Functions

• discord.login(): Log in to the Discord bot.
• discord.logout(): Log out of the logged-in Discord bot.
• discord.getServerInfo(guildId): Retrieve information about the specified server.

📁 Channel Management

• discord.createChannel(guildId, channelName, type): Create a new channel in the specified server.
• discord.deleteChannel(channelId): Delete the specified channel.
• discord.getChannels(guildId): Retrieve all channels in the specified server.

• discord.createForumPost(threadId, content): Create a new post in the specified forum thread.
• discord.replyToThread(threadId, replyContent): Reply to a message in the specified forum thread.

💬 Messages and Reactions

• discord.sendMessage(channelId, message): Send a message to the specified channel.
• discord.getMessage(messageId, channelId): Retrieve a specific message in the specified channel.
• discord.addReaction(messageId, channelId, emoji): Add an emoji reaction to the specified message.

🌐 Webhook Management

• discord.createWebhook(webhookName, guildId, channelId): Create a new webhook for the specified channel.
• discord.sendWebhookMessage(webhookId, webhookToken, message): Send a message to the specified channel using a webhook.
• discord.deleteWebhook(webhookId): Delete the specified webhook.
