🚀 Google Search Console MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides access to Google Search Console.

This server offers access to Google Search Console data, enabling users to retrieve and analyze search performance information.

📋 Prerequisites

• Node.js 18 or higher.
• Enable the Search Console API in your Google Cloud project.
• Have service account credentials with Search Console access.

📦 Installation

Install via Smithery

Automatically install the Google Search Console in Claude Desktop through Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install mcp-server-gsc --client claude

Manual Installation

npm install mcp-server-gsc

🔑 Authentication Setup

Obtain Google Search Console API credentials:

1. Visit Google Cloud Console.

2. Create a new project or select an existing one.

3. Enable the API:

   • Go to "APIs & Services" > "Library".
   • Search for and enable the "Search Console API".

4. Create credentials:

   • Navigate to "APIs & Services" > "Credentials".
   • Click "Create Credentials" > "Service Account".
   • Fill in the service account details.
   • Create a new JSON - formatted key.
   • The credential file (.json) will be automatically downloaded.

5. Grant access:

   • Open the Search Console.
   • Add the service account email (in the format: name@project.iam.gserviceaccount.com) as a property administrator.

Available Tools

search_analytics

Retrieve search performance data from Google Search Console with support for custom parameters:

Required Parameters:

• siteUrl: Website URL (format: http://www.example.com/ or sc - domain:example.com).
• startDate: Start date (YYYY - MM - DD).
• endDate: End date (YYYY - MM - DD).

Optional Parameters:

• dimensions: Comma - separated list (query, page, country, device, searchAppearance).
• type: Search type (web, image, video, news).
• aggregationType: Aggregation method (auto, byNewsShowcasePanel, byProperty, byPage).
• rowLimit: Maximum number of rows to return (default: 1000).
