📦 Installation and Configuration

Prerequisites

• Node.js 16.x or higher.
• Amadeus API credentials (client ID and secret).

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/amadeus-mcp-server.git
cd amadeus-mcp-server

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Create a .env file in the project root directory and add your Amadeus API credentials:

AMADEUS_CLIENT_ID=your_client_id
AMADEUS_CLIENT_SECRET=your_client_secret

Start the Server

Build and start the server:

npm run build
npm start

Run in development mode:

npm run dev

Testing and Development

This project uses Jest for unit testing and Biome for code inspection and formatting.

Run unit tests:

npx jest

Test with watch mode:

npx jest --watch

Test with coverage:

npx jest --coverage

Run integration tests (requires Amadeus API credentials):

npm run test:integration

🧪 Integration Testing

This project includes comprehensive integration tests to verify the interaction between the server and the actual Amadeus API. These tests ensure that our API client can correctly use real API endpoints and handle responses.

Integration Testing Requirements

• Amadeus API Credentials: The tests require valid Amadeus API credentials in the .env file:

• Test Environment: The tests are configured to use the Amadeus test environment, not the production API.

Run Integration Tests

npm run test:integration

The integration tests are located in the __tests__/integration directory and verify the following API functions:
