The server implements the following single tool: generateMeme.

This tool accepts the following parameters:

• templateNumericId: The numeric ID of the meme template to use.
• text0: The text for the first placeholder.
• text1: The text for the second placeholder.

📦 Installation

You need to have an account on ImgFlip to get your username and password. Then you can use the meme-mcp NPM package in your client to configure the meme generator.

Basic Usage

You can configure the meme generator in Claude Desktop (Settings -> Developer -> Edit Configuration) as follows:

⚠️ Important Note

You need to create a free account on ImgFlip to get your username and password.

Advanced Usage

Sometimes, Claude Desktop may not find the correct version of npx (especially if you are using NVM. See this issue for details). In this case, you can manually install meme-mcp globally and use it directly.

npm install -g meme-mcp

You can find the location of your node executable in the terminal by running which node. Then your configuration should be as follows:

Example

After configuring Claude Desktop, you need to restart it. Then you will see a small hammer icon at the bottom of the chat input. At this time, you can ask Claude to generate a meme for you.
