🚀 Spotify MCP Tool

A quick Spotify MCP (Machine Control Protocol) tool that enables you to control your Spotify player through Cursor.

📦 Installation

1. Clone this repository.
2. Create a .env file in the root directory of the repository and add your Spotify API credentials (copy from .env.example). You can obtain these credentials after creating an application in the Spotify Developer Dashboard.
3. Go to Cursor Settings > Features > MCP Server > + Add a new MCP server.
   • Name: Spotify
   • Type: Command
   • Command: uv --directory <repository path/mcp-spotify> run main.py

Now you should see that the tool has been successfully installed.

💻 Usage Examples

Open the Composer in "Proxy" mode and start it. Then you can control your Spotify player through Cursor (make sure Spotify is running on an active device).
