🚀 MCP Browser Proxy

This project is a browser automation proxy that enables browser interactions through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It seamlessly integrates browser operation capabilities for Claude via our MCP server.

Thanks to Browser-Use for providing its browser proxy functionality, which has contributed to our MCP server!

📦 Installation

Automatic Installation via Smithery

Automatically install the browser automation proxy for Claude Desktop through Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @ashley-ha/mcp-manus --client claude

Manual Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone <repository-url>
cd mcp

2. Set up the Python environment using uv:

uv venv
source .venv/bin/activate
uv sync

Configuration for Claude Desktop

Create or modify your Claude Desktop configuration file:

Replace /ABSOLUTE/PATH/TO/browser-use with the absolute path of your project directory.

Browser Configuration

The proxy preset uses Google Chrome, with the following default configuration:

• Non-headless mode (for development)
• Window size: 1280x1100
• Disable security features (for testing)
• Recording path: ./tmp/recordings

Usage

The proxy provides two main tools:

1. get_planner_state: Get the current browser state and planning context
2. execute_actions: Execute planned operations in the browser

Development Information

Logging

The project uses the built - in logging module in Python, configured as follows:

• All logs are output to the standard error stream
• Custom format: %(levelname)-8s [%(name)s] %(message)s
• Root logger level: INFO
• Third - party logger level: WARNING

Project Structure

• browser-use.py: Main entry point and server implementation
• tmp/recordings: Folder for browser session recordings
• Dependency management is implemented through uv
