📦 Installation

Using VS Code or VS Code Insiders

1. Open the terminal and run the following commands:

Testing with MCP Inspector

1. Start the MCP Inspector in the terminal:

   npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/inspector
   

2. Press Ctrl+click to load the MCP Inspector web interface (e.g., http://127.0.0.1:6274).
3. Set the command to npx and the arguments to -y grumpydev-mcp, then click the Connect button.
4. Select List Tools on the Tools tab. After selecting a tool, click Run Tool.

Model Configuration

You can specify the model used by this MCP server by setting the GENAISCRIPT_DEFAULT_MODEL environment variable. This variable should contain the model provider and name you want to use, for example: github:gpt-4o. By default, it uses the GPT-4o model from GitHub Models.

You can also use any provider/model combination supported by GenAIScript (see GenAIScript Documentation). Some models may require additional environment variable configurations, such as API keys or other credentials.
