🚀 Mailgun MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server implemented for Mailgun, enabling MCP-compatible AI clients (e.g., Claude Desktop) to interact with this service.

🚀 Quick Start

Manual Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/mailgun/mailgun-mcp-server.git
   cd mailgun-mcp-server
   

2. Install dependencies and build:

   npm install
   

3. Configure Claude Desktop:

   Create or modify the configuration file:

   • MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   • Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

   Add the following configuration:

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v18 or higher)
• Git

Sending an Email

⚠️ Important Note

As of March 18, 2025, sending emails seems to require an Anthropic paid account. Using a free account will result in a silent failure.

Can you send an email to EMAIL_HERE with interesting content, making it seem like it's from the IT department in The Office?
Please use the sending domain DOMAIN_HERE and send it from "postmaster@DOMAIN_HERE"!
