A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server based on the Caiyun Weather API, providing weather data query functionality.

This server is built on the Caiyun Weather API, offering a wide range of weather data query services.

• Address Query: Supports querying weather by address (requires configuring the Gaode Map API).

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/marcusbai/caiyun-weather-mcp.git
cd caiyun-weather-mcp

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

⚠️ Important Note

This project depends on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) SDK, which needs to be available in the runtime environment. The MCP SDK is usually provided by Claude or other applications that support MCP.

3. Build the project:

npm run build

📚 Documentation

Before using the server, you need to configure the Caiyun Weather API key. If you need the address query function, you also need to configure the Gaode Map API key.

Caiyun Weather API Key

1. Visit the Caiyun Weather website.
2. Register and log in to your account.
3. Create an application and obtain the API Key.

Gaode Map API Key

1. Visit the Gaode Map Developer Platform.
2. Log in and create a new project.
3. Obtain the API access token.

Configuration

After completing the above configuration, add the following information to the config.js file:
