🚀 Fireflies MCP Server

An MCP server for the Fireflies.ai API, supporting functions such as obtaining transcription content, searching, and summary generation.

🛠️ Tools

1. fireflies_get_transcripts

   • Retrieve a list of meeting transcriptions with optional filtering conditions.
   • Input:
     • limit (optional number): Maximum number of transcriptions to return.
     • from_date (optional string): Start date in ISO format (YYYY - MM - DD).
     • to_date (optional string): End date in ISO format (YYYY - MM - DD).
   • Return: An array of transcription objects containing basic information.

2. fireflies_get_transcript_details

   • Get detailed information about a specific transcription.
   • Input:
     • transcript_id (string): ID of the transcription to retrieve.
   • Return: Comprehensive transcription details, including speakers, content, and metadata.

3. fireflies_search_transcripts

   • Search for transcriptions containing specific keywords.
   • Input:
     • query (string): Search query to find relevant transcriptions.
     • limit (optional number): Maximum number of transcriptions to return.
   • Return: An array of matching transcription objects.

4. fireflies_generate_summary

   • Generate a summary of a meeting transcription.
   • Input:
     • transcript_id (string): ID of the transcription to summarize.
     • format (optional string): Summary format ('bullet_points' or 'paragraph').
   • Return: Generated summary text.

⚙️ Setup

Fireflies API Key

Create a Fireflies API Key and set appropriate permissions:

• Access the Fireflies.ai console.
• Navigate to Settings > API.
• Generate a new API Key.
• Copy the generated key.

Usage with Claude Desktop

To use it on Claude Desktop, add the following to claude_desktop_config.json:

📦 Installation

1. Clone this repository.
2. Install dependencies:

npm install
# or
pnpm install

3. Build the project:

npm run build
# or
pnpm build

💻 Usage Examples

Starting the Server

FIREFLIES_API_KEY=your_api_key npm start
# or
FIREFLIES_API_KEY=your_api_key pnpm start

You can also use the installation script:

./setup.sh
FIREFLIES_API_KEY=your_api_key npm start
