• Access Notes: List and retrieve Notion pages as note:// URIs (with UUID slugs).
• Metadata: Each resource includes a title, description, and body content in Markdown format.
• MIME Type: The body content can be obtained in text/markdown format.

Tools

• Search Notes: Use the search_notes tool to filter relevant pages by a query string.
  • Input: A relevant text query for filtering.
  • Output: Markdown content of matching notes.

Prompts

• Summarize Notes: Generate summaries for single Notion pages.
  • Available prompts:
    • summarize_note: Summarize a specific note by URI.
    • suggest_refactor: Propose structural improvement suggestions.
    • suggest_fix: Identify potential repair suggestions.
    • suggest_enhance: Recommend improvements to enhance note content.

📦 Installation

Setup

Install dependencies:

pnpm install

Build the project:

pnpm build

Automatically rebuild in the development environment:

pnpm watch

Configuration

To configure the server to work with Notion:

• Set environment variables:
  • ROOT_PAGE: The root page ID of your Notion workspace.

Installation for Claude Desktop

To use this server on Claude Desktop, add the following configuration:

• MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

Debugging

To debug and troubleshoot server issues, use the MCP inspector. Start the inspector:

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

To run the server using SSEServerTransport, run the following command:

npx -y supergateway --port 8000 --stdio "npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-filesystem /some/folder"

Please replace /some/folder with your actual folder path.

Remote Deployment

Currently, the server uses SSEServerTransport for remote communication, supporting the use of shared servers. Please ensure that you install the necessary dependencies and configure the server correctly for remote deployment.
