🚀 DNDzgz MCP Server

This is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides information about the Zaragoza tram system, including real-time tram arrival estimates and station information, using the DNDzgz API.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/danilat/mcp-dndzgz.git
cd mcp-dndzgz

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

💻 Running the Application

Add a valid Google Maps API key as an environment variable:

GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY=your-api-key

Start the server:

npm start

Or configure it in your MCP client, for example:

The server will start and connect to the MCP transport layer.

✨ Features

The server provides the following tools:

1. zaragoza-tram-estimations: Get real-time arrival estimates for a specific tram station.

   • Parameters:
     • station (number): The ID of the tram station.
   • Returns: A JSON containing estimated arrival times in both directions.

2. zaragoza-tram-stations: Get information about all tram stations in Zaragoza.

   • Parameters:
     • latitude (number): Latitude for sorting by distance.
     • longitude (number): Longitude for sorting by distance.
   • Returns: A JSON with station information including location, name, and ID.

3. zaragoza-bus-stops: Get information about all bus stops in Zaragoza.

   • Parameters:
     • latitude (number): Latitude for sorting by distance.
     • longitude (number): Longitude for sorting by distance.
   • Returns: A JSON with bus stop information including location, name, ID, and routes.

4. zaragoza-bus-estimations: Get real-time arrival estimates for a specific bus stop.

   • Parameters:
     • stop (number): The ID of the bus stop.
   • Returns: A JSON containing estimated arrival times for all routes serving the stop.

5. zaragoza-bizi-stations: Get information about all Bizi stations in Zaragoza (public bike rental service).

   • Parameters:
     • latitude (number): Latitude for sorting by distance.
     • longitude (number): Longitude for sorting by distance.
   • Returns: A JSON with Bizi station information including location, name, and ID.

6. zaragoza-bizi-estimations: Get real-time bike and free dock availability at a specific Bizi station.

   • Parameters:
     • station (number): The ID of the Bizi station.
   • Returns: A JSON containing bike and dock availability.

7. google-maps-link: Get a Google Maps link for a specific location.

   • Parameters:
     • latitude (number): The latitude of the location.
     • longitude (number): The longitude of the location.
   • Returns: A Google Maps URL showing the specified location.

8. geolocation-from-address: Get the geographical location (latitude and longitude) and the formatted address from an address.

   • Parameters:
     • address (string): The address to locate (e.g., "Plaza de España, Zaragoza").
   • Returns: A JSON containing latitude, longitude, and the formatted address.

This server allows you to obtain real-time information about the Zaragoza transportation system (trams, buses, and bike rentals) via the MCP protocol and provides geolocation services.
