• get_teams

  • Retrieve a list of teams for a specified league.
  • Input:
    • league (enum ['NBA', 'NFL', 'MLB']): The sports league for which to get teams.

• get_players

  • Retrieve a list of players for a specified league.
  • Input:
    • league (enum ['NBA', 'NFL', 'MLB']): The sports league for which to get players.
    • firstName (string, optional): The first name of the player to search for.
    • lastName (string, optional): The last name of the player to search for.
    • cursor (number, optional): Pagination cursor.

• get_games

  • Retrieve a list of games for a specified league.
  • Input:
    • league (enum ['NBA', 'NFL', 'MLB']): The sports league for which to get games.
    • dates (array of strings, optional): Get games for specific dates in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
    • teamIds (array of strings, optional): Get games for specified teams.
    • cursor (number, optional): Pagination cursor.

• get_game

  • Retrieve a specific game in a particular league.
  • Input:
    • league (enum ['NBA', 'NFL', 'MLB']): The sports league for which to get the game.
    • gameId (number): The game number obtained from the get_games tool.

Tips

• schedule_generator Generate an interactive schedule in Claude Desktop based on a given league (NBA, MLB, NFL), start date, and end date.

📦 Installation

Obtain an API Key

1. Register and log in at Balldontlie.io.
2. Generate an API key.

Installation Instructions

Install using the following command:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @mikechao/balldontlie-mcp

Configure in the balldontlie-mcp.config.js file:
