🚀 Resend MCP Server

An implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for the Resend email service.

• Send emails using Resend through a standardized MCP interface.

📋 Prerequisites

• Resend API key (obtainable at resend.com).
• Node.js 18 or higher.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the repository.
2. Install dependencies:

npm install

⚙️ Configuration

Create a .env file in the root directory and add your Resend API key:

RESEND_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
PORT=3000  # Optional, default is 3000

🚧 Development Status

The current server implementation is blocked by TypeScript type issues in the MCP SDK. The following issues need to be resolved:

1. The Server class in @modelcontextprotocol/sdk does not correctly expose its request handling methods in TypeScript types.
2. Determine the exact method name for handling requests (tried: handleRequest, handle, receiveMessage, receive, processRequest).

🛣️ Next Steps

1. Check the MCP SDK documentation or source code to determine the correct methodName.
2. Update the SDK's TypeScript types if they are incorrect.
3. Consider using JavaScript temporarily until the type issues are resolved.

📧 Send Email

Send an email using Resend.

Parameters:

• from (required): Sender's email address.
• to (required): Recipient's email address.
• subject (required): Email subject.
• html (optional): Email content in HTML format.
• text (optional): Email content in plain text format.
