🚀 Chakra MCP Server

Natively integrated with Anthropic's Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing you to interact with databases and subscribed data shares using natural language.

✨ Features

• Natural Language Queries: Query your database using natural language.
• Data Share Interaction: Interact with subscribed data shares. For example, if you subscribe to a financial data share, you can ask "What's the stock price of Tesla?"
• Database Management: Create, update, and delete tables.

📋 Prerequisites

• Python 3.11+
• uv. On MacOS, you can install it using Homebrew: brew install uv.
• Claude Desktop
• A Chakra account - Sign up here

🔑 Find Your DB Session Key

1. Log in to the Chakra Console.
2. Select Settings.
3. Navigate to the relevant database and copy the DB session key (not the API key).

📦 Installation

Automated Installation with OpenTools

Run the following command:

npx @chakra-mcp/setup@latest

Manual Setup

1. Install uv.

2. Run the following commands in the terminal:

   cd $(uv root)
   uv get chakra-mcp/core latest
   

3. Open the configuration file at the following paths:

   • MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/ChakraMCP/config.json
   • Windows: %APPDATA%/ChakraMCP/config.json
   • Linux: ~/.config/chakramcp/config.json

4. Update the configuration file as follows:

   {
     "dbSessionKey": "your_db_session_key_here",
     "dataShares": []
   }
   

5. Save the file and reload ChakraMCP.
