🚀 jgrants-mcp-server

J grants (an electronic application system for national or local government subsidies operated by the Japanese Digital Agency) uses the MCP server for its public API. Leveraging the FastMCP library, it offers the following MCP tools:

• list_subsidies Search for and retrieve a list of currently open subsidy applications by specifying a keyword (default is "subsidy").

• get_subsidy_detail Obtain detailed information using the subsidy ID. When retrieving, large base64 data is removed, and a download URL is provided instead.

• download_attachment Specify an attachment for a subsidy (by category and index) and receive a download URL. ※ The actual file data (base64) is not returned directly; it can be downloaded directly via the URL.

⚠️ Important Note

In all tools, use the ID instead of the title to identify subsidies (e.g., "a0WJ200000CDIUiMAP").

✨ Features

• Asynchronous Processing: Uses the httpx library to achieve asynchronous access to the J grants API.

• MCP Tools: FastMCP provides the following three tools, exposed in MCP format:

  • list_subsidies(keyword: str = "subsidy")
  • get_subsidy_detail(subsidy_id: str)
  • download_attachment(subsidy_id: str, category: str, index: int)

• Lightweight Responses: Unnecessary data is removed to provide concise responses.

📦 Installation

Environment Requirements

• Python 3.6 or higher
• Required libraries:
  • httpx
  • fastmcp
  • fastapi
  • uvicorn

Steps

1. Clone the repository.

   git clone <your-repository-url>
   

2. Install the environment-dependent libraries.

   pip install httpx fastmcp fastapi uvicorn
