Running the Azure Functions MCP Server Locally

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/your-repository.git
cd mcp-youtube-subtitles

Start the Docker container:
```
docker compose up -d
```
Open VS Code and connect to the remote container:
```
code --remote host.docker.internal:22 ./
```

Running the Azure Functions MCP Server Remotely

Create a new Azure Function app in the Azure portal.
Deploy the project to the function app.
Obtain the function app name and system key.

Connecting to the Local Server Using VS Code Agent Mode

Open the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P or Cmd+Shift+P).
Type and select MCP: List Servers.
Select mcp-youtube-subtitles-function-remote and click Start Server.
Enter the function app name and system key.

Enter a prompt, for example:

Summarize the video content in this YouTube link and list it point by point: https://youtu.be/XwnEtZxaokg?si=V39ta45iMni_Uc_m

Connecting to the Remote Server Using VS Code Agent Mode

Install and run MCP Inspector:

npm install -g @modelcontextprotocol/inspector
inspector

Open the MCP Inspector address in the browser (e.g., http://0.0.0.0:5173).
Set the transport type to SSE.
Set the URL to the SSE endpoint of the running Function app and connect:
```
http://localhost:7071/runtime/webhooks/mcp/sse
```
Click List Tools.
Select a tool and run it with a YouTube link and a language code (e.g., en or ko).

Connecting to the Remote Server Using MCP Inspector

Install and run MCP Inspector:

npm install -g @modelcontextprotocol/inspector
inspector

Open the MCP Inspector address in the browser (e.g., http://0.0.0.0:5173).
Set the transport type to SSE.
