Spotify MCP Server provides a variety of ways to control Spotify playback. Before starting, make sure you have met the prerequisites and completed the setup steps.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Install Node.js and npm.
• Register a Spotify developer account and obtain the Client ID and Secret.

Setup Steps

1. Install Dependencies

npm install

2. Create a Configuration File Create a .env file in the project root directory and add the following content:

PORT=8000
BRIDGE_PORT=9000
VOICE_PORT=8001
CLIENT_ID=your_spotify_client_id
CLIENT_SECRET=your_spotify_client_secret

3. Start the Server

npm start

💻 Usage Examples

Web Interface

Open a browser and visit http://localhost:8000, then follow the prompts to complete Spotify authentication.

Command - Line Interface

Enter the following commands in the terminal:

• Play music:

npm run play

• Pause playback:

npm run pause

• Switch songs:

npm run next

AI Assistant Integration

Set Trigger Words

In the voice control interface, enter the settings menu, input your preferred trigger words (e.g., "Xiaomi AI Assistant"), and then save.

Voice Control

Start the Service

1. Start the voice server in the terminal:

node speech/voice - server.js

2. Open a browser and visit http://localhost:8001 to enter the voice control interface.
3. Click the microphone button, start recording, and input commands (e.g., "Xiaomi AI Assistant, play music").

Run All Services

Create a file named start - all.js:
