The Upcloud MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server integrated with the Upcloud API. It offers seamless integration, enabling developers and tools to achieve advanced automation and interactive capabilities. This idea is inspired by the Github MCP Server.

Use Cases

• Extract and analyze data from Upcloud services.
• Build AI-powered tools and applications to interact with the Upcloud ecosystem.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

1. To run the server in a container, you need to install Docker.
2. After installing Docker, ensure that Docker is running.
3. Finally, you need to populate the UPCLOUD_USERNAME and UPCLOUD_PASSWORD environment variables.

Local Usage

go build cmd/upcloud-mcp-server

Move the binary file to your bin directory and move claude_desktop_config.json to the Claude configuration directory. Don't forget to populate the environment variables!

On Mac: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json On Windows: AppData\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Account

• get_account - Get the current user's account.
• get_account_details - Get account details based on the username.
  • username: Account username (string, required).
• get_account_list - Get the account list.

Database

• get_database - Get the managed database based on the UUID.
  • uuid: Database UUID (string, required).

Server

• get_servers - Get the servers.
• get_server_details - Get server details.
  • uuid: Server UUID (string, required).

Kubernetes

• get_kubernetes_clusters - Get the Kubernetes clusters.
• get_kubernetes_cluster - Get a Kubernetes cluster based on the UUID.
