What is MCP Web Research Server?

The MCP Web Research Server is a bridge between Claude AI and the live internet. It allows Claude to perform real-time web searches, visit webpages, extract content and capture screenshots - bringing fresh information directly into your conversations.

How to use it?

After simple one-time setup, just chat with Claude normally. When your request would benefit from web research, Claude will automatically use this tool. For deeper research, use the built-in 'agentic-research' prompt.

When to use it?

Ideal for researching current events, verifying facts, gathering multiple perspectives, or when you need information newer than Claude's training data.
