Overview

@orbit-logistics/notion-mcp-server is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and exposes the entire Notion API as a set of tools. It allows LLMs to perform operations such as reading, creating, updating, and deleting Notion pages directly through natural language instructions.

Notion Integration Setup

Before using this server with Cursor or Claude Desktop, you need to create a Notion integration and grant it access to your pages. Follow the guide in the Notion documentation and add the necessary permissions: Getting started with Notion integrations

Usage Examples

Basic Usage

Using with Cursor

To integrate @orbit-logistics/notion-mcp-server with Cursor, follow these steps:

1. Open Cursor settings.
2. Navigate to the features section and scroll down to find "MCP Server".
3. Click "Add New MCP Server".
4. Enter a custom name and select the "Command" type.
5. Enter the following in the command field (replace <notion_integration_token> with your actual token):

npx -y @orbit-logistics/notion-mcp-server -t <notion_integration_token>

This command starts the server with your Notion integration token, allowing Cursor to call Notion's API tools through this MCP server.

Using with Claude Desktop

For Claude Desktop, the MCP server configuration is stored in a JSON configuration file. Add the following to the claude_desktop_config.json file (replace <notion_integration_token> with your actual token):
