Request Authentication: The AI client calls the authenticate tool of the MCP server.
Open Authentication URL: The MCP server opens a browser window displaying an authentication URL with the following information:
- pubkey: The public key for delegation.
- expiration: The expiration time of the delegation (in milliseconds).
User Identity Verification: The React web application (authentication UI) provides an interface for users to verify their identities using Internet Identity.
Delegation Chain Creation: After successful identity verification, the web application generates a delegation chain for the MArké server using the provided public key and expiration time.
Send Delegation to Server: The web application sends the delegation chain back to the specified endpoint of the MCP server.
Authentication Result: The MCP server returns the authentication result to the AI client.
Call Other Tools: The AI client can call other tools on the MCP server, which has already verified the identity.
Tool Response: The MCP server returns corresponding responses based on the requests.
