🚀 MCP Server - Jina Model Context Protocol Server

This is a TypeScript-based MCP server that demonstrates a simple note-taking system. It showcases the core concepts of MCP through the following features:

• Resources representing text notes with URIs and metadata
• Tools for creating new notes
• A function to prompt the generation of note summaries

✨ Features

Resources

• List and access notes via note:// URIs.
• Each note has a title, content, and metadata.
• The plain text MIME type is used for simple content access.

Tools

• create_note - Create a new text note.
  • Requires a title and content as mandatory parameters.
  • Stores the note in the server state.

Prompts

• summarize_notes - Generate a summary of all stored notes.
  • Includes all note content as embedded resources.
  • Returns a structured prompt for LLM summarization.

📦 Installation

Install Dependencies

npm install

Build the Server

npm run build

Development Mode for Automatic Rebuilding

npm run watch

Configuration for Claude Desktop

To use it with Claude Desktop, add the server configuration:

Debugging

Since MCP servers communicate via stdio, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using MCP Inspector, which can be used as a package script:

npm run inspector

The inspector will provide a URL to access the debugging tools in a browser.
