🚀 Malaysia Prayer Times MCP Server

The Malaysia Prayer Times MCP Server offers accurate Islamic prayer times for various locations within Malaysia. It seamlessly integrates with Claude Desktop via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing you to obtain prayer schedules in real - time directly through your AI assistant.

The server uses the waktusolat.app API to fetch JAKIM - certified prayer times and supports queries by city, regional code, or coordinates.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Installation:
   • Clone the repository, create a virtual environment, install dependencies, and start the application following the steps in the "Installation" section.
2. Usage:
   • Launch the application by running python app.py in the terminal.
   • Access http://localhost:8000 in your browser.
   • Select the desired city or enter geographical coordinates to view the prayer times.

• Coordinate Support: Find prayer times using latitude and longitude coordinates.
• Regional Code Access: Query directly using JAKIM regional codes (e.g., enter SGR03 to get prayer times for Kuala Lumpur).
• Full Daily Prayer Schedule: Get the prayer times for the whole day (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha).
• Current Prayer Status: Determine the current and subsequent prayer times.
• Supported Cities and Regions: Includes Kuala Lumpur/Selangor (SGR01 - SGR04), Perak (PRK01 - PRK04), Penang (PNG01), Johor (JHR01), Kedah (KDH01), Terengganu (TRG01), Kelantan (KTN01), and Melaka (MLK01).

📦 Installation

Installation Steps:

1. Clone the repository:

   cd malaysia-prayer-times
   

2. Create a virtual environment and install dependencies:

   python -m venv .venv
   source .venv/bin/activate  # For macOS/Linux
   . .venv/bin/activate       # For Windows
   pip install requirements.txt
   

3. Start the application:

   python app.py
