This project provides a server for use in VS Code and VS Code Insiders, integrating GHAS tools.

🚀 Quick Start

Installation in VS Code and VS Code Insiders

Use the button to install this server in your VS Code or VS Code Insiders environment. Make sure to read the links before trusting them! The links point to vscode.dev and insiders.vscode.dev and contain instructions for installing the server.

VS Code will display the configuration before letting you proceed:

Local Setup

# Install dependencies
npm install

# Build the project
npm run build

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js and npm should be installed on your system.

Steps

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/rajbos/ghas-mcp-server.git
cd ghas-mcp-server

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Build the project:

npm run build

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

The project structure is as follows:

ghas-mcp-server/

Adding Components

The project already includes GHAS tools in src/operations/security.ts.

Building the Project

1. Modify your tools.
2. Run npm run build to compile.
3. The server will automatically load your tools upon startup.

Testing Local Build

You can configure the following MCP configuration to test the locally built version:

Don't forget to change the path to match your local build and run npm run build first!
