What is Google Calendar MCP Server?

This is a bridge service that connects the Google Calendar API with GitHub Copilot Chat, allowing you to query and manipulate calendar events through natural language. It runs as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, securely providing your calendar data to the AI assistant.

How to use this service?

After completing the authorization configuration, you can directly enter natural language instructions (e.g., 'View next week's meeting schedule') in Copilot Chat, and the system will automatically retrieve and display the corresponding calendar events.

Use cases

Suitable for professionals who need to frequently view/manage schedules, especially when you want to quickly query calendar events without leaving the code editor. Typical scenarios include: development meeting arrangements, project timeline queries, personal schedule management, etc.

Main features

Multi-calendar supportYou can query multiple Google calendars such as the primary calendar and work calendar simultaneously
Natural language queryQuery the calendar using everyday language through Copilot Chat (e.g., 'What do I have scheduled for tomorrow?')
Secure authenticationAdopts the OAuth 2.0 standard authorization process to ensure secure account access

Advantages and limitations
