This server allows Claude to summarize YouTube videos. First, ensure you meet the prerequisites and then integrate it with Claude Desktop as described below.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v18 or higher)

Integration with Claude Desktop

To add the MCP server in Claude Desktop:

1. Go to Settings > Developer > Edit Configuration.
2. Add the following to the claude_desktop_config.json file:

Building from Source

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/yourusername/youtube-video-summarizer-mcp.git
cd youtube-video-summarizer-mcp

# Install dependencies
npm install

# Build the project
npm run build

# Start the inspector tool
npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector node dist/index.js

Running the Tool

• Click Connect.
• Select the tool to run.
• Enter the video URL in the field.
• Click Run.
