📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v16 or higher)
• Crunchbase API key

Installation Steps

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/Cyreslab-AI/crunchbase-mcp-server.git
cd crunchbase-mcp-server

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Build the project:

npm run build

📚 Documentation

Configuration

The server requires a Crunchbase API key to run. You can obtain a key by registering for the Crunchbase API.

Set the API Key

Set the API key as an environment variable:

export CRUNCHBASE_API_KEY=your_api_key_here

MCP Configuration

You can use the included installation script to automatically configure the MCP server:

# Build the project first
npm run build

# Then run the installation script
npm run setup

The installation script will perform the following actions:

1. Request your Crunchbase API key.
2. Locate your MCP settings file (or create a new one).
3. Add the Crunchbase MCP server to the settings.

Usage

Install the MCP Server

1. Clone the Crunchbase MCP repository.
2. Create a config.json file in the project root directory and add the following content:
