What is Recurse MCP?
This is an intelligent bridge service that connects the Recurse Center community API with AI assistants. Through the standardized Model Context Protocol (MCP), it allows AI tools such as Claude/ChatGPT to securely access RC community data. How to use it?
Simply make queries about the RC community (such as finding people or checking batches) in the AI conversation, and the AI will automatically obtain the latest data through this service. Developers can also directly call the API.Use cases
Suitable for RC members to quickly query community information, new members to understand the community structure, or to build intelligent applications that integrate RC data.Main features
Member profile querySearch for public profiles of RC community members by conditions such as name and batch.
Batch informationGet statistical data and time information of members in each batch.
Online statusView members currently active in the RC Hub.
Advantages and limitations
Advantages
No need to directly handle API keys, allowing AI assistants to access data securely
Get the latest real - time dynamics of the RC community
The standardized protocol is compatible with mainstream AI platforms
Limitations
Can only access public profile data
Dependent on the rate limit of the RC API
Requires a valid PAT token authorization
How to use
Get an access token
Create a PAT (Personal Access Token) in your RC personal settings.
Configure the environment
Fill in the RECURSE_PAT field in the.env file with the token.
Start the service
Install dependencies and run the server.
Usage examples
Find members in the same batchNew members want to meet partners in the same batch.
Hub activity queryCheck who is currently active in the physical space.
