A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides tools to obtain dependency information from Clojars, the artifact repository for the Clojure community.

🚀 Quick Start

When this MCP server is configured in the Claude settings, it will automatically become available under Claude's system prompt and be listed in the "Connected MCP Servers" section. This allows Claude to understand the server's capabilities and enables it to operate through the provided tools using the use_mcp_tool command.

How It Works

The server exposes two tools:

📦 Installation

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/clojars-deps-server.git
cd clojars-deps-server

2. Install dependencies:

npm install

3. Build the server:

npm run build

4. Add the server to your Claude configuration:

For the VSCode Claude extension, add it to cline_mcp_settings.json (usually located at ~/Library/Application Support/Code/User/globalStorage/saoudrizwan.claude-dev/settings/ on macOS):

After completing the above steps, you can test the functionality of the new server. For example, enter /clojars-deps-server get_clojars_latest_version dependency:metosin/reitit in Claude to get the latest version of the artifact.
