🚀 Emotion Playlist MCP

Emotion Playlist MCP is a tool based on MCP that can generate Spotify playlists according to users' emotional states. It uses the Brave Search MCP server to find songs related to refined emotional queries and integrates the Spotify MCP server to automatically create and populate playlists.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/emotion_playlist_mcp.git
cd emotion_playlist_mcp

2. Set Up the Environment

Use uv:

uv init

Or set up manually:

python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Configure Environment Variables

Create a .env file in the project root directory:

SPOTIFY_CLIENT_ID=Your Spotify client ID
SPOTIFY_CLIENT_SECRET=Your Spotify client secret
SPOTIFY_REDIRECT_URI=http://127.0.0.1:8888/callback  # Must be the same as the redirect URI in your Spotify developer application
BRAVE_API_KEY=Your Brave API key

Spotify tokens can be found on the Spotify developer website.

Requirements:

• A Spotify Premium account

🖥 Generate Spotify Authorization Token

python3 orchestrator/tools/spotify_auth.py

🖥 Install the MCP Server

mcp install main.py --name EmotionPlaylistMCP

• Search on Brave to find song suggestions based on refined emotions.
