🚀 LetzAI MCP Setup Guide

This guide will walk you through the process of setting up and using LetzAI MCP (Model Context Protocol) for image generation.

🚀 Quick Start

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure the following conditions are met:

• Node.js is installed on your system. You can download it from the official Node.js website.
• Claude Desktop App is installed. If you don't have it yet, you can download it from Claude Desktop App.
• LetzAI API Key. You can obtain it by visiting LetzAI API.

Setup Steps

1. Download the Git Folder

Download the repository containing the LetzAI MCP project and place it outside the Downloads folder, for example:

C:\\Users\\username\\desktop

Or clone the repository using git clone:

git clone <repository-url> C:\\Users\\username\\desktop

2. Install Dependencies

Navigate to the project folder via the terminal or command prompt and run the following command to install the required dependencies:

npm install

3. Compile the Project

In the project root directory, run the following command to compile the code:

npm run build

4. Restart the Claude Application

After completing the above steps, restart your Claude desktop application.

5. Configure MCP Settings

Open the Claude desktop application, navigate to the settings menu, and find the relevant configuration options for LetzAI MCP. Here, you need to enter the following information:

• LETZAI_API_KEY: Enter the API key you obtained earlier.
• Path to INDEX.js: Ensure this path points to the index.js file in your project directory.

6. Run the MCP Server

In the terminal or command prompt, navigate to your project folder and run the following command to start the MCP server:

node index.js

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

• Generate an Image: Use the LetzAI MCP plugin in the Claude desktop application and enter the following to generate an image:

photo of @mischstrotz drinking a beer, dressed as a knight

This command will generate an image based on the provided prompt, using the model @mischstrotz from LetzAI. Claude will open the image in your default browser.

• Upscale an Image: Use the following to upsample an image:

You can pass the entire URL or just the LetzAI image ID, such as d6a67077-f156-46d7-a1a2-1dc49e83dd91.

Troubleshooting

• Node.js not found: Make sure Node.js is installed and added to the system environment variable PATH.
• Invalid API key: Check if you have correctly added your API key in the Claude desktop application settings, with the variable name LETZAI_API_KEY.
• File path issues: Ensure the path to the index.js file is correct. If you're unsure of the path, use an absolute path.
