This project is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides job search functionality using the Careerjet API.

📦 Installation

Requirements

• Python 3.11+
• pip
• A valid Careerjet API key

Steps

1. Install dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt

2. Configure your API key:

   • Default API key: 371d48447450886ce16b718533cca6f2
   • To get your own API key: Careerjet Partners

3. Run the MCP server:

python server.py

Installation with Docker

# Build the Docker image
docker build -t careerjet-mcp .

# Run the container
docker run -it careerjet-mcp

💻 Usage Examples

MCP Tools

1. search_jobs_tool

Job search functionality.

Parameters:

• keywords (required): Keywords to search for.
• location (required): Job location.
• locale: Language/country code (default: en_US).
• affid: Careerjet API key (default: 371d48447450886ce16b718533cca6f2).
• sort: Sorting type (relevance, date, salary).
• pagesize: Number of results per page.
• contracttype: Contract type (p=permanent, c=contract, t=temporary).
• contractperiod: Working hours (f=full time, p=part time).

Example:

2. get_job_details_tool

Get job details (basic implementation).

Affiliate ID

An Affiliate ID is required to use the Careerjet API. For a free account:

1. Visit the Careerjet Partners page.
2. Create a partner account.
3. Use the Affiliate ID you received.

API Limits

• The Careerjet API has usage frequency limits.
• Contact Careerjet for heavy usage.
• Rate limiting may be applied.
