searchapi-mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that allows AI assistants such as Claude to access the searchapi.io API. With this tool, AI assistants can search for information on Google Maps, flights, hotels, etc.

Environment Variables

Before using, you need to set the SEARCHAPI_API_KEY environment variable:

export SEARCHAPI_API_KEY="your_api_key"

Command-line Usage

# Start the server using stdio transport
searchapi-mcp

# Display help information
searchapi-mcp --help

# Display version information
searchapi-mcp --version

# Specify the transport type
searchapi-mcp --transport stdio

📚 Documentation

search_google_maps

Search for places or services on Google Maps.

Parameters:

• query: Search query.
• location_ll (optional): Location coordinates in the format "latitude,longitude".

search_google_flights

Search for Google Flights information.

Required parameters:

• departure_id: Departure location ID.
• arrival_id: Arrival location ID.
• outbound_date: Departure date.
• flight_type: Flight type (default: round_trip).

For round-trip flights (round_trip), the following is also required:

• return_date: Return date.

search_google_hotels

Search for Google Hotels information.

Required parameters:

• q: Search query.
• check_in_date: Check-in date.
• check_out_date: Check-out date.

search_google_maps_reviews

Search for review data on Google Maps.

Required parameters (choose one):

• place_id: Place ID.
• data_id: Data ID.

search_google_hotels_property

Query detailed information about Google hotels.

Required parameters:

• property_token: Property token.
• check_in_date: Check-in date.
• check_out_date: Check-out date.

search_google_flights_calendar

Query Google Flights calendar prices.

Required parameters:

• flight_type: Flight type.
• departure_id: Departure location ID.
• arrival_id: Arrival location ID.
• outbound_date: Departure date.

For round-trip flights (round_trip), the following is also required:

• return_date: Return date.

get_current_time

Get the current system time and travel date suggestions.

Parameters:

• format (optional): Date format (default: iso).
• days_offset (optional): Date offset (default: 0).
• return_future_dates (optional): Whether to return future dates (default: false).
• future_days (optional): Number of future days (default: 7).

search_google

Search for Google search results.

Required parameter:

• q: Search query.

search_google_videos

Search for Google video results.

Required parameter:

• q: Search query.
