What is the Fathom MCP Server?

The Fathom MCP Server is a bridge that connects Fathom.video (an AI meeting recording and transcription service) with Cursor IDE (an AI programming assistant). It allows you to access and manage your meeting data directly in your coding environment without switching applications. Through natural language instructions, you can query meeting records, obtain transcript texts, export summaries, etc.

How to use the Fathom MCP Server?

Using the Fathom MCP Server requires three basic steps: 1) Obtain a Fathom API key; 2) Install and configure the MCP Server; 3) Interact with your meeting data via natural language in the Cursor IDE. After configuration, you can directly ask questions about meetings in Cursor, and the system will automatically call the corresponding tools to obtain information.

Use Cases

The Fathom MCP Server is particularly suitable for technical teams, project managers, and remote workers who need to frequently review meeting content. When you need to refer to previous meeting discussions, find action items, or share meeting summaries while writing code, you can complete these tasks without leaving the development environment.
