What is Payment-MCP?

Payment-MCP is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server specifically designed to provide cryptocurrency payment functionality for AI applications. It allows AI assistants (such as Claude Code and Cursor) to directly create payment requests, check payment status, send cryptocurrencies, and manage wallet addresses in conversations without users having to manually operate complex blockchain tools.

How to use Payment-MCP?

Using Payment-MCP is very simple: First, install and start the server, and then the AI assistant can manage cryptocurrency payments through natural language instructions. For example, you can ask the AI assistant to create a payment request, check if a payment has arrived, or send cryptocurrency to a certain address.

Use cases

Payment-MCP is particularly suitable for the following scenarios: 1. AI assistants need to create paid services for users. 2. Developers want to manage cryptocurrency payments through AI assistants. 3. Need to automate the processing of small cryptocurrency transactions. 4. Educate and demonstrate the cryptocurrency payment process.

Main features

Create payment request
Generate a cryptocurrency payment request, specify the amount and currency type, and add descriptive information. Supports three cryptocurrencies: ETH, USDC, and USDT.
Check payment status
Monitor the status of payment requests in real-time to know if the payment has been received, is being processed, or has failed.
Send cryptocurrency
Send payments directly to the specified cryptocurrency address, supporting transfer operations of mainstream cryptocurrencies.
Wallet address management
Get the wallet addresses corresponding to different cryptocurrencies for easy receipt of payments and sharing of addresses.
Advantages
Native AI integration: Designed specifically for AI assistants and can be operated through natural language.
Multi-currency support: Covers mainstream cryptocurrencies such as ETH, USDC, and USDT.
Easy to use: No blockchain expertise is required to manage payments.
Developer-friendly: Provides clear APIs and tool interfaces.
Limitations
Early version: Currently in the early stage of development, and the functions may be limited.
Simulated data: The current version returns simulated data and is not yet connected to the real blockchain.
Limited currency types: Currently only supports three cryptocurrencies.
Requires technical setup: Requires a Node.js environment and basic server deployment knowledge.

How to use

Environment preparation
Ensure that your system has Node.js 18.0.0 or a higher version installed, which is a prerequisite for running the Payment-MCP server.
Install dependencies
After cloning or downloading the project, install all necessary dependency packages in the project directory.
Build the project
Compile TypeScript code into JavaScript to generate an executable file.
Start the server
Start the Payment-MCP server and start accepting payment instructions from AI assistants.
Development mode (optional)
If you are developing or testing, you can use the development mode, which supports hot code reloading.

Usage examples

AI assistant creates a paid service
A developer uses Claude Code to create a code review service. Through Payment-MCP, the AI assistant automatically generates a payment link, and the AI assistant starts working only after the user makes a payment.
Automated payment for content creation
A content creator uses the Cursor AI assistant to write articles and sets a fee for each article. The AI assistant automatically processes payment verification before starting to create content.
Educational demonstration of cryptocurrency payment
A teacher uses Payment-MCP to demonstrate the cryptocurrency payment process in class, allowing students to experience creating and sending payments through an AI assistant.
