Q-Anon Posts/Drops MCP Server

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that provides access to the Q-Anon posts dataset for ethnographic/sociological research. This server enables AI assistants like Claude to search, filter, and analyze Q-Anon drops.

The posts are sourced from https://github.com/jkingsman/JSON-QAnon. You can learn more about how the source data is structured there, and find other formats, schemas, etc.

Warning: This tool is entirely "vibe-coded". Use it at your own risk.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Python 3.10 or higher
• uv package manager
• Claude Desktop (for integration with Claude)

This tool is compatible with uvx and does not require cloning/installation.

Installation via Smithery

To automatically install the qanon-mcp-server for Claude Desktop via Smithery:

npx -y @smithery/cli install @jkingsman/qanon-mcp-server --client claude

Manual Installation

1. Clone or download this repository to your local machine.
2. Install the required packages using uv:

uv pip install -e .

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

You can directly run the server using uvx:

uvx qanon_mcp

Integration with Claude Desktop

To use this MCP server with Claude Desktop:

1. Ensure that Claude Desktop is installed.
2. Open the Claude menu and select "Settings...".
3. Click "Developer" on the left sidebar, then click "Edit Configuration".
4. Add the following configuration to the claude_desktop_config.json file:

5. Save the file and restart Claude Desktop.
6. Start a new conversation.
7. You should see a hammer icon in the input box, indicating that the tool is available.

Once the MCP server is connected to Claude Desktop, you can ask questions like the following:

• "How many Q-Anon posts are there in the dataset?"
• "Show the content of post ID 12345."
• "How many posts were published during October 2023?"
• "Find all posts by author ID 6789."

📚 Documentation

Notes

• Ensure that the posts.json file is in the same directory as the script.
• Check for any error messages in the terminal.
• Make sure to use the absolute path of the script in the Claude Desktop configuration.
