🚀 Eventbrite MCP Server

This is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides tools for interacting with the Eventbrite API. It allows AI assistants to search for events, get event details, retrieve venue information, etc.

📦 Installation

From NPM

npm install -g @ibraheem4/eventbrite-mcp

From Source Code

1. Clone this repository.
2. Install dependencies:

   npm install
   

3. Build the project:

   npm run build
   

🚀 Quick Start

Run in Development Mode

npm run dev

This will monitor changes in the source files, automatically rebuild the project, and restart the server.

Run the MCP Server

You can run the MCP server using the provided run script:

./run.sh

This will run the MCP server in JSON format on port 1337.

Run in Debug Mode

If you want to run in debug mode, do the following:

npm run dev

Then visit http://localhost:3000 for testing.

🔧 Configuration

Environment Variables

To configure the MCP server, you can set the following environment variables:

• PORT: Specify the port on which the server runs (default is 3000).
• EVENTBRITE_API_KEY: Your Eventbrite API key.

For example, in Linux, you can use the following commands:

export PORT=3001
export EVENTBRITE_API_KEY='your_api_key_here'

In Windows:

set PORT=3001
set EVENTBRITE_API_KEY=your_api_key_here

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

After configuration, you can run the server with the following command:

npm start

Advanced Usage

After configuration, you can let Claude use the Eventbrite MCP tool:

• "Search for concerts in New York next week."
• "Tell me the details of event 123456789."
• "What event categories are available?"
• "Tell me the information about venue 987654321."

Search for Events

GET /api/events

Parameters:

• q: Search keywords (e.g., "concerts", "exhibitions", etc.).
• location: Location name or postal code.
• start_date: Start date (ISO format).
• end_date: End date (ISO format).
• page: Page number.
• per_page: Number of records displayed per page.

Get Event Details

GET /api/events/:eventId

Parameters:

• eventId: Eventbrite event ID.

Get Categories

GET /api/categories

No parameters.

Get Venue Information

GET /api/venues/:venueId

Parameters:

• venueId: Eventbrite venue ID.
