Basic Usage

1. Get the transcription file by video URL:

• get_transcript
  • Extracts the transcription file of a YouTube video.
  • Input:
    • url (string, required): YouTube video URL or video ID.
    • lang (string, optional, default: "en"): Transcription language code (e.g., 'ko', 'en').

Development

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18 or higher.

Setup

Install dependencies:

npm install

Since MCP servers communicate via stdio, debugging can be challenging. We recommend using the MCP Inspector for development:

npm run inspector
