🎮 Clone the Repository

Use Git to clone the Bitcoin-MCP project:

cd bitcoin-mcp

📦 Install Dependencies

Install the required Node.js packages:

npm install

🔧 Start the Server

Start the Bitcoin-MCP server:

node index.js

By default, the server will run on http://localhost:3000.

To use the Bitcoin MCP extension in Goose, follow these steps:

1. Start the Bitcoin-MCP Server

Ensure that the Bitcoin-MCP server is started and running, listening on http://localhost:3000.

2. Configure the Goose Extension

In Goose's extension management interface:

Add a new STDIO type extension.
Fill in the following information:
- Name: Bitcoin-MCP
- Command: node
- Parameters: bitcoin-mcp/index.js

3. Enable the Extension

Enable the newly added Bitcoin-MCP extension.

In a new Goose chat window, enter the following sample questions:

"What's the latest Bitcoin block?"

Goose will return relevant information through the MCP server.

🚨 Error Handling

The server uses custom error types to handle Bitcoin operations and blockchain queries and uses Pino to record error information in detail, which is included in the client response for easy debugging.
