🚀 Raindrop.io MCP Server (Go)

An integration that allows Large Language Models (LLMs) to interact with Raindrop.io bookmarks via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), implemented in Go.

This server enables seamless interaction between LLMs and Raindrop.io bookmarks. Follow the steps below to get started.

📦 Installation

Requirements

• Go 1.20 or higher
• A Raindrop.io account and API token

Steps

1. Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/anarcher/raindrop-io-mcp-server
cd raindrop-io-mcp-server

2. Install dependencies:

go mod tidy

3. Set environment variables:

• Create a .env file and set your Raindrop.io API token

RAINDROP_TOKEN=your_access_token_here

4. Build the project:

go build -o raindrop-mcp-server

💻 Usage Examples

Using with Claude Desktop

1. Open the Claude Desktop configuration file:

• macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
• Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

2. Add the following configuration:

3. Restart Claude Desktop

Available Tools

create-bookmark

Create a new bookmark. Parameters:

• url: The URL to bookmark (required)
• title: The title of the bookmark (optional)
• tags: An array of tags (optional)
• collection: The collection ID (optional)

search-bookmarks

Search for bookmarks. Parameters:

• query: The search query (required)
• tags: An array of tags to filter by (optional)

Development

⚠️ Important Note

• Always manage API tokens using environment variables.
• Set appropriate permissions for the Claude Desktop configuration file.
• Limit unnecessary file access.
