1. Search-related interfaces: Support keyword search, nearby location search, and hot topic query.
2. Café information interface: Retrieve a list of popular cafes and related information.
3. Article content interface: Used to retrieve article content and its related information.

📦 Installation

1. Clone the project repository and install dependencies:

git clone https://github.com/yousleepwhen/kakao-api-mcp-server.git # Replace with the actual repository address
cd kakao-api-mcp-server
yarn install

2. Configure the Kakao REST API key:
   • Create a .env file in the project root directory.
   • Add the following content, replacing it with the actual API key you obtained from the Kakao developer platform:

     KAKAO_REST_API_KEY=Replace with your Kakao REST API key
     

   • Alternatively, you can pass the key directly through the --kakao-api-key parameter when running the server.

💻 Usage Examples

Basic Usage

There are three ways to run this project:

HTTP Mode (Default)

yarn start

It uses port 3000 by default. To change the port, you can specify the --port parameter:

yarn start --port 8080

Stdio Mode

yarn start:stdio

This mode is suitable for scenarios where you need to interact with MCP messages through standard input and output.

Development Mode

yarn dev

In this mode, the server will restart automatically during development, facilitating debugging and code hot reloading in the development environment.
