🚀 Xero MCP Server

This MCP server allows clients to interact with Xero accounting software.

🚀 Quick Start

1. Ensure that Node.js and Claude Desktop are installed.

2. Create an OAuth 2.0 application in Xero to obtain CLIENT_ID and CLIENT_SECRET.

   • If you don't have a Xero account, register first.
   • Log in to the Xero Developer Center at https://developer.xero.com/app/manage/.
   • Click "New App".
   • Enter the app name.
   • Select "Web App".
   • Provide a valid URL (e.g., https://www.myapp.com).
   • Set the redirect URI: http://localhost:5000/callback.
   • Agree to the terms and conditions and click "Create App".
   • Select "Configuration" in the left - hand menu.
   • Click "Generate Keys".

3. Modify the claude_desktop_config.json file.

4. Restart Claude Desktop.

5. When the client first accesses the Xero tool, a Xero login page will pop up to request your authorization. After completing the authentication process, please manually close the web page (since the current version cannot close it automatically).

   ⚠️ Important Note

   After completing the Xero OAuth2 process, your Xero data may pass through the LLM you are using. If you are conducting tests, authorize access to the Xero Demo Company.
