🚀 LumiFAI MCP Technical Analysis Server

A fast MCP server that provides technical analysis tools for cryptocurrency trading data. It focuses on calculating the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) for Binance pairs. By default, the server uses the SSE transport layer for communication.

📦 Installation

Prerequisites

• Python 3.13 or higher.
• A MongoDB instance.
• The uv package manager.

Steps

1. Clone the repository:

git clone <repository-url>
cd lumifai-mcp-ta

2. Create and activate a virtual environment, then install the dependencies:

uv sync

3. Set up environment variables: Create a .env file in the root directory with the following content:

MONGODB_URI=your_mongodb_connection_string

💻 Usage Examples

Run the server

uv run mcp-server.py

Available tools

1. get_emas(agent_name: str, time_ago: str, interval: int, interval_frequency: str)

   • Calculate the EMAs for a specified cryptocurrency trading pair.
   • Return a DataFrame containing the fast line (12-period) and slow line (26-period) EMAs.

2. get_date_time()

   • Return the current date and time.
