getRatesTool

Get the current exchange rate of a cryptocurrency.

Input:

• currency (string): Cryptocurrency ID (e.g., bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin)

🧠 Data Source

This package uses data from the CoinCap API, a free cryptocurrency market data API that provides real - time pricing and market activity for over 1,000 cryptocurrencies.

⏱️ Rate Limiting

This package has built - in rate limiting and retry mechanisms to handle the rate limits of the CoinCap API.

• Maximum 3 retries
• Exponential backoff starting from 1 second
