🚀 MCP Network Tools Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides network-related operation tools. This server allows Large Language Models (LLMs) to interact with network content through standardized tools.

• web_scrape: Convert the URL prefix to r.jina.ai and return the content in Markdown format.

📦 Installation

1. Clone this repository:

   git clone <repository-url>
   cd MCP
   

2. Install the required dependencies:

   pip install -r requirements.txt
   

   Alternatively, you can use uv for faster installation:

   uv pip install -r requirements.txt
   

💻 Usage Examples

Start the Server and UI

This repository contains scripts to conveniently run the MDP server or the Streamlit UI.

Using the Run Script

On macOS/Linux systems:

# Start with the default transport method (stdio)
./run.sh server

# Enable SSE transport
./run.sh server --transport sse --host localhost --port 5000

# Start the Streamlit UI
./run.sh ui

On Windows systems:

# Start with the default transport method (stdio)
run.bat server

# Enable SSE transport
run.bat server --transport sse --host localhost --port 5000

# Start the Streamlit UI
run.bat ui

Manual Operation

You can also run the server directly:

Using stdio (default)

python server.py

Using SSE

python server.py --transport sse --host localhost --port 5000

This will start an HTTP server running at localhost:5000, accepting MCP connections.

To manually run the Streamlit UI:

streamlit run streamlit_app.py

Testing with MCP Inspector

The MCP Inspector is a tool for testing and debugging:

1. Open a terminal and run the following command to start the Inspector:

   inspector/run.sh
   

2. Access http://localhost:3000 in your browser and enter your server address (e.g., http://localhost:5000).

Integration with Claude for Desktop

1. Open a terminal and run the following command to start the Inspector:

   inspector/run.sh
   

2. Access http://localhost:3000 in your browser and enter your server address (e.g., http://localhost:5000).

Troubleshooting

• Missing dependencies: Ensure that all dependencies in requirements.txt are installed.
• Connection issues: Check if the server is running and if the configuration file path for Claude for Desktop is correct.
• Tool execution errors: Check the error messages in the server output.
• Streamlit UI issues: Ensure that Streamlit is installed correctly and the configuration file path is correct.
