🚀 1. Connection Check

• Send the "ping" command to verify the connection status with the QGIS server. If successful, proceed to the next steps.

🆕 2. Create a New QGIS Project

• Invoke the "create new project" tool.
• Specify the save path: D:/PROJECT/MCP/claudemap.qgz (use slashes / to ensure cross - platform compatibility).

📂 3. Load Data Layers

a. Load Map Data

• Load the OpenStreetMap data from the file path: “D:/PROJECT/MCP/map (2).osm”.
  • Note: The OSM data will be automatically split into four independent layers: points, lines, multilinestrings, and multipolygons.

b. Load and Name the AOI Layer

• Load the vector data from the file path: “D:/PROJECT/MCP/Bahan_Mundupesisir/aoi.shp”.
• Name this layer “aoi”.

🔍 4. Adjust Layer Display

a. Delete Unnecessary Layers

• Right - click and delete the layer named “map (2) — points”.

b. Hide Specific Layers

• Set the “aoi” layer to the hidden state (retain its spatial extent but do not display it in the map view).

🎨 5. Set Layer Styles

a. Symbol System for Line Layers

• For the “map (2) — lines” layer:
  • Symbol color: #ff6201 (orange)
  • Symbol width: 0.5mm

b. Fill and Outline Settings for Polygon Layers

• For the “map (2) — multipolygons” layer:
  • Fill color: #fff65f (light yellow)
  • Outline color: #fff65f (same as the fill)
  • Symbol width: 0.3mm
  • Transparency: 80%

📄 6. Add and Configure Print Layouts

a. Create a New Layout

• Add a “A4 newspaper” layout template.

b. Set Map Scale and Lock

• Set the map scale to 1:10,000.
• Enable the “Lock layers for map item” option to keep the layer positions fixed.

c. Add Title and Annotation Elements

• Add a title to the layout with the following content:

Area Name: [To be filled]
Mapping Date: [System current date]

💾 7. Export Map as an Image File

• Use the “Export as Image” function to export the layout as a PNG file.
• Specify the output path as: D:/PROJECT/MCP/output_maps/
• Ensure the image resolution is set to 300 DPI to guarantee print quality.
