This NASA MCP server provides convenient access to NASA's data, such as the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) and Mars Rover photos.

🚀 Quick Start

📦 Installation

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/ProgramComputer/NASA-MCP-server.git

# Install dependencies
npm install

# Copy the example environment file and update it with your API key
cp .env.example .env

# Build the TypeScript code
npm run build

# Start the development server
npm start

⚙️ Configuration

Environment Variables

Create a .env file in the root directory of the project and add the following content:

NEXT_PUBLIC_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
NEXT_PUBLIC_BASE_URL=http://localhost:3000
