A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for querying large JSON files. This server provides tools for processing large-scale JSON data for large language models implemented using Model Context Protocol.

Run npx json-query-mcp to start using the server.

Basic Usage

Here is an example of using the Cursor agent to read a very large (>1M characters) JSON Swagger definition file and extract a small part to write a TypeScript interface.

Installation in Cursor

Add the following content to your Cursor mcp configuration file (the path on macOS is /Users/$USER/.cursor/mcp.json):
