📦 Installation

Windows

1. Download and install Everything and start the service.
2. Download the Everything SDK (version 4.x or higher).
3. Set the EVERYTHING_SDK_PATH environment variable to point to your Everything SDK DLL file:

   setx EVERYTHING_SDK_PATH "C:\path\to\EverythingSDK\dll\x64\Everything.dll"
   

macOS and Linux

No additional installation is required. Use the default file search function directly.

Debugging Techniques

Use MCP inspectors for debugging:

• For uvx installation:

  npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector uvx mcp-server-everything-search
  

• If running manually, after entering the repository directory, execute:

View logs:

• Linux/macOS:
